Famózní snídaně! Jasné Michana vajíčka si dáte vsude ale chleba waldorf nebo opraveny chleba 66( jejich vlastní) jen tady. Jak jsem zmínil, mají zde vlastní pekárnu z dvěma druhy chlebu a dalších věci jako loupak(nejlepší v Praze!). K obědu rozhodne brambory v popelu! Tohle je jedno z míst kam se budu často vracet
As mentioned previously, I did little to no planning for our recent adventure to Prague. With the exception of a reservation for our meal at Eska, we played the rest of the trip by chance. Eska, part of the Ambiente group, was recommended by several friends. Additionally, having both a look at the menu and noting its Bib Gourmand status with Michelin, I decided this was a good choice for our first dinner in the Czech Republic.
Paráda, moc se mi tu líbilo a doporučuju to tady navštívit. S kamarádkou jsme z toho byli nadšené, jídle je tu naprosto super, personál taktéž a prostředí je pěkné.
Eska mě rozhodně nezklamala. Ceny jsou vyšší, ale jídlo výborné. Zkusili jsme snídani Pekař a špaldovou kaši. Na můj vkus byla kaše trošku sladší, ale nevidím to vyloženě jako problém. Mínus je, že obsluha příliš neví, co podává. Obsluhující nevěděla, jakou máme na talíři marmeládu.
Nemohu se zbavit pocitu, že mě tenhle podnik zklamal. Prostředí je krásné, obsluha perfektní, avšak ceny poměrně vysoké, výběr dosti omezený a jídlo průměrné (až na vynikající domácí chléb!). Určitě bych si v okolí dokázala vybrat jiné místo, kam se s láskou vracet.

One thing you learn is, that nothing is a disappointment when you're in one of these. Such a fabulous place! Recommended to everyone, best for breakfasts.

It’s often very worthwhile making a trek across the city for a good meal. That was the case for my brunch over at Eska. The store is a grand two storeys, and there’s plenty of seating despite my concerns when I first walked in. It’s a busy store at that too, they do lots of takeout orders and offer a wide range of baked goods. I dined in for their brunch special. The style of the restaurant-cum-bakery is combining the old with new, changing ingredients beyond recognition. It’s clear to see that level of invention when you start digging into the food.
I had the breakfast Eska (345 CZK) which features fermented wheat, mushrooms, egg, bread, ham, horseradish and your choice of soft drink (mine was apricot). It’s such a treat. There’s a lot of food and it was all so tasty. The fermented wheat was something I hadn’t ordered before and I enjoyed the taste a lot. It was flavourful and went so well with the different types of mushrooms, that were served in different styles. The horseradish is creamy and doesn’t have that sharp flavour I was fearing. That meant I was more than happy with the ham sandwich equivalent. Service is topnotch here and both the fizz and cold brew were brunch-level excellent. So I’d happily recommend the Bib Gourmand-rated Eska!
Skvělý interiér ve dvou podlažích, dole rušněji, kouzlo otevřené kuchyně. Velký prostor, skvělá a usměvavá obsluha, skvělá káva a ty zákusky ❤
V restauraci Eska jsem rozhodně zažil nevšední gurmánský zážitek a to veskrze pozitivní. Interiér má industriální nádech, prostory se nacházejí v patrně původní výrobní hale. Malé stolečky úplně nepotěšily, školní židličky pohodlné. Obsluha pohotová a ochotná. Pozorností bych chléb z místní pekárny s osoleným máslem. Z polední obědové nabídky jsem ochutnal krém z bílých fazolí sypané škvarky, velmi dobrý a proslulé brambory v popelu, zajímavě sladěné a chutné. Kolegyně si pochutnala na salátu a farmářském kuřátku. Vzhledem k účtovaným cenám však zůstane jen ojedinělým zážitkem.
